The success continues for Gamebox Festival, which with an increase in visitors of 64% compared to last year cements its status as the country's largest gaming event. This year's edition of the festival, which took place at MCH Messecenter Herning 19-21 April, was an exuberant universe of all things gaming-related, and both the exhibition and competition sections were a big hit.

Gamebox Festival 2024 attracted 23,812 gaming enthusiasts from all over the country to Herning this weekend, which is a new record for the festival, which is characterised by a LAN and competition part as well as a trade fair and entertainment part. In fact, the figure represents a 64% increase in visitors compared to last year.

The increase in attendance is naturally a source of enthusiasm for Georg Sørensen, CEO of MCH A/S, who says that the third edition of a brand new event is often an expression of the attractiveness, durability and direction of the innovation. A mission that, according to the CEO, has succeeded for Denmark's largest gaming festival.

- We developed Gamebox Festival from scratch and to do it within a new industry and with a completely new target group is something very special and requires patience, co-operation, persistence and continued development. Thanks to good, trusting and close collaboration with both organisations and the leading players in the industry, Gamebox Festival has grown from 8,600 guests in 2022 to 23,812 today,’ says Georg Sørensen, looking back on the weekend with joy and gratitude.

- Our many good and active partners have created unique experiences for the thousands of gaming-interested visitors of many ages, and together they have created a great and very special festival atmosphere. We are very pleased, and with the many positive feedback from our partners, we look forward to the continued development of Gamebox Festival towards the next edition in spring 2025.
